L.A.B. Golf
L.A.B. stands for Lie Angle Balance. The company’s putters are designed around controlling torque, the twisting force that can turn the face. The balancing method is intended to keep the face square to the arc of the stroke at the player’s fitted lie angle.1

Inventor and club builder Bill Presse IV developed a testing device called the Revealer before completing his first Lie Angle Balanced putter. The company’s account describes an early version made from a broken crutch. It let him observe how a putter turned during a stroke and helped him develop the Directed Force design.2
Fitting is part of that design process. L.A.B. describes selecting the putter’s length and lie angle, along with the shaft, grip and alignment aids, before balancing it for the player. The head’s appearance is only one part of the equipment being specified.1
