Pikewood’s seventh adapts the Bottle concept associated with C.B. Macdonald. The wider route offers an easier second-shot target but a harder approach; crossing the diagonal hazard opens a better angle from a narrower landing area.1

The eighth uses a Cape-style risk decision beside a gorge. A player can challenge the green in two, but the drop along the right side gives that choice a substantial penalty.1
