Castle Pines Golf Club
After moving to Denver in 1969, Jack Vickers discovered the land for Castle Pines on a drive along Happy Canyon Road. Acquiring the property from its various owners took twelve years.1

Jack Vickers’s long search at Castle Pines
Jack Nicklaus designed the course, construction began in 1979, and the Club opened in October 1981. Castle Pines later hosted The International, the PGA TOUR’s modified Stableford event, from 1986 through 2006.1
