Atlanta Athletic Club’s record of Bobby Jones’s achievements places the founding of Peachtree Golf Club in 1947. It came after Augusta National and the Masters, bringing another club-building project into the later career of the retired champion.1

Bobby Jones’s Atlanta undertaking
Early member Norris Broyles Jr. recalled a deliberate effort to bring younger golfers into the Club in 1955. Sons of existing members, including Broyles, received reduced initiation fees while paying regular dues, adding a new generation to a membership he remembered as predominantly older.2
