Interlachen Country Club
Interlachen began when golfers displaced from Minneapolis’s Bryn Mawr course sought a new home. Incorporated in December 1909, the Club acquired rolling farmland in Edina. Its name, meaning “between lakes,” reflected the setting.1

Bobby Jones won the 1930 U.S. Open here, the third championship of his Grand Slam season. Five years later, Glenna Collett Vare defeated seventeen-year-old Interlachen golfer Patty Berg in the U.S. Women’s Amateur final.1
