Wykagyl organized in 1898 and moved to New Rochelle in 1904. Lawrence E. Van Etten, who joined during the move, laid out the original course at the new home.1

Wykagyl Country Club history
Professional women’s golf became an enduring part of its tournament life. Events included the Golden Lights Championship from 1978 through 1980, the Big Apple Classic from 1990 through 2000, and the Sybase Classic from 2001 through 2006.1
