Philadelphia Country Club’s golf once occupied two separate homes. Its original Bala Cynwyd course remained in use after William Flynn’s Spring Mill course opened in 1927; the Club operated both until 1957.1

Philadelphia Country Club history
Spring Mill hosted the 1939 U.S. Open, settled by Byron Nelson after two playoff rounds. Bala later staged the 1949 U.S. Girls’ Junior, giving both properties a place in the Club’s championship history.1
