Bellerive Country Club
Bellerive’s history includes more than one home. The institution began with a nine-hole course in north St. Louis in 1897, moved to a Robert Foulis design in Normandy in 1910, and remained there for half a century.1

Bellerive Country Club history
Hord Hardin and Clark Gamble led the later move west. The new course opened in 1960, and five years later Gary Player won its U.S. Open in a playoff against Kel Nagle. The victory completed Player’s career Grand Slam.1
