Grover Cleveland Golf Course
The public Grover Cleveland course occupies the former Country Club of Buffalo site. The private Club used this property from 1902 to 1925 and hosted the 1912 U.S. Open, won by defending champion John McDermott.1

Grover Cleveland Golf Course history
When the Club left in 1925, the City of Buffalo bought the course and renamed the park for its former mayor and the United States president. A former national-championship ground became municipal recreation.1
