Old Warson Country Club
Old Warson grew from a 1952 purchase of 180 acres through the Algonquin Chemical Company. Hayes Rarick arranged the acquisition, and thirty-eight founders attended the organizational meeting in January 1953.1

Old Warson Country Club history
The property had passed through several earlier owners, including members of the Mullanphy family and George Strake. The new institution converted that tract into a purpose-built golf club.1
