Fresh Meadow dates its beginning to 1921. Its first clubhouse had an exceptionally short life: the Club’s timeline records its dedication in 1923 and destruction by fire only nine days later.1

An early clubhouse lost within days
The clubhouse was rebuilt in 1924 on a grander scale, according to the same timeline. The compressed sequence of opening, loss and reconstruction forms an early institutional story distinct from the championship results for which the Fresh Meadow name is often remembered.1
