Bel-Air Country Club
Bel-Air Country Club was incorporated in 1924, two years after Alphonzo Bell bought the 1,700-acre Danzinger estate. Golf became one of the institutions of the residential community developed from that property.1

A golf club within Bell’s new community
The neighborhood’s first tract was filed in 1923 and a second followed in 1925. The Club thus took shape during the formative years of Bel-Air, before the Hotel Bel-Air opened in 1946.1
