North Shore Country Club
North Shore’s first course opened near Sheridan Road in 1900. Road construction and rising land values encouraged a move, and in 1908 the Club leased ground in Kenilworth for nine holes designed by Tom Bendelow.1

Its later Glenview home occupied 170 acres of farmland. George Brown designed the clubhouse, while the course commission went to C. H. Alison of the Colt, MacKenzie and Alison partnership.1
